I found the reference photo for this painting in an old magazine.  As is a habit of mine, I altered the tones to create a sense of warmth on this snowy midwinter day.

Another piece I produced while studying under Dave Beckett, I was entranced with the way the shadows across the cold white mounds.  To warm up the day, I worked on a sand-coloured archival paper.

Lake Simcoe rarely sees large waves, but, in a big wind, it does happen.  Across from this Oro-Medonte Line 9 shoreline, a hint of the Keswick skyline can be seen.
