PATRISH'S ART

"The true work of art is but a shadow of the divine perfection."  Michelangelo

My work can best be described as eclectic, since I have worked with graphite, acrylics, oils, chalk pastels and oil pigment sticks to create artistic styles that also vary, that often reflect my mood or worldly influences.  Subject matter can be dictated by a "call for artists" or be simply the result of an emotional attachment to a photograph of a place I've been or of someone I know. Commission work is a challenge that will often excite me, as well.  Although I've probably freely shared my artwork with family or donated more pieces than I've actually sold, I believe that's part of the humbling thrill of being an artist.

"There's no retirement for an artist; it's your way of living, so there's no end to it."  Henry Moore
