REMI'S JAY

Acrylic on gallery canvas

12" x 12"

My great grandson, Remi, asked me to give him a blanket that featured a bluejay.  Since I didn't have a painting of this beautiful bird, it prompted me to create one.

$150 plus S/H

THE PATH

Acrylic on canvas

This painting hangs in my sister's home in Australia.  She said it reminded her of a place of comfort here in Canada, the country in which she was born.  It is an example of how the use of paintbrush combined with palette knife strokes can create the illusion of light and depth.  I can do this for you, too, if you have a favourite photo that could be rendered using this technique.

BEAUSOLEIL INUKSUK

Oil on canvas

9" x 12" (14" x 17" including black wooden frame)

$175 (plus S/H)

I have always been attracted to the physical beauty of the Inuksuk and how it has been used in the past by the Inuit as they travelled from hunting ground to hunting ground.

OUR CANADA

Created by the group of nine BaySide Artists, this magnificent 110" x 54" canvas mosaic/montage highlights Canada's history on sixteen individual 12" x 12" canvases  to commemorate our nation's 150th birthday in 2017.  This image was taken as "Our Canada" hung majestically on the walls of the Holcim Gallery, Milton, Ontario.  It has been installed and exhibited in a variety of venues around Simcoe County and was presented as a powerpoint in Nova Scotia in June, 2019.
Please contact me if you have questions about how you can see this artistic homage to our great nation, Canada.
